Robe dressing! Let’s talk about it!
I’m channeling one of my favorite fictional characters of all time in this velvet number. That’s right! I drew my inspiration for this look from The Boy Who Lived – Mr. Harry Potter himself! It is no secret that I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan – I have read and re-read every book and own all of the movies. It is the story of my childhood that I have grown up with and continue to cherish as an adult. I know I am not alone in this. But using the characters from J. K. Rowling’s world or witchcraft and wizardry as sartorial inspiration is definitely something new to me.
I dig it.
Robe dressing is exciting on any occasion. Bath robes, kimonos, cover-ups, you name it. There is something luxurious about dressing in a robe. But this velvet floor-length version takes it to a whole new level for me. I highly recommend getting involved with this look. It’s comfortable, versatile and great for the holiday season. Throw on this baby over denim with your favorite pair of holiday heels, pop on your favorite shade of red lip and you’re ready to roll.
Now let’s get out there and be merry kids.
