I love wearing tulle. It brings me back to my childhood days of ballet class and playing dress up. However, it can be a challenge to envision yourself wearing tulle after the age of 7 without looking like a prom queen gone wrong. Confidence and conviction are more than half the battle – if you own it, 9 times out of 10 you’ll look good (and feel good) wearing it.

With this look – I think – I have managed to pull it off. The black tulle makes this skirt feel edgy and fresh. While the striped cropped tee keeps the outfit casual and cool. Topped off with layers of jewels and a bold pink lip – this look is light years beyond pirouettes and prom.

Wearing: Zara top, Topshop skirt, Helmut Lang shearling jacket, Vera Wang Lavender shoes, Karen Walker ‘Perfect Day’ sunnies, MAC¬†Candy yum-yum lipstick

Jewelry: Belliza Knight necklace, C. Wonder bracelets, C. Wonder earrings, C. Wonder and Belliza Knight rings
