I love this mural which has become somewhat of a focal point in social media of late. Sadly, this vibrant mural was defaced with graffiti, but lucky for me, I had the opportunity to meet artist Maya Hayuk while she was touching up her work.

My friend and I make it a point to visit the Bowery mural every time a new one is completed. This particular afternoon was a bit chilly – one of my favorite things about spring weather is that it more often than not requires layers. This army green jacket is one of my go-to transitional pieces. They got it right with the details here – from the shoulder pads and large front pockets to the buttons with a utilitarian feel. This type of indoor/outdoor piece is a staple for spring. On the other hand, while these Theyskens’ Theory shoes certainly aren’t the most practical, they without a doubt add the right dose of edge.
