Today’s topic is: clogs.

Without a doubt a funny form of shoe – they aren’t exactly attractive, but I wouldn’t call them unattractive either.  They definitely fall within the girl-cute category of apparel and accessories. No guy thinks that clogs are sexy footwear. At least no guys that I know. If you happen to know of any please, send them my way, I would love discuss this with them.

But for me, clogs fall within the category of things that I am just too into not to get on board with. Like the most statement-y of statement earrings and all iterations of the cropped flare (and really any denim that isn’t a skinny jean) – sorry boys, deal with it.

Also I would like to talk about this ruffled top for a second.

It is without a doubt a copy cat of the remarkable Rosie Assoulin top that I have been coveting for weeks. This version is from Zara. And while somewhere in my brain, I HATE Zara for copying everything so g-darn quickly that they make trends die wayyyy before their time, I also can’t not shop there. It’s frustrating actually. Their stuff is so good. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all good. A lot of it is actually quite cheap and basic looking. But there are those stand-out, rockstar, love-it need-it gotta-have-it pieces that keep me coming back for more. And more. And more. And this top, is one of them.

Happy Friday kids – for those of you in NYC, don’t suffocate in this pre-summer heat!

Oh, and wear clogs! xx
