Happy Wednesday kids. If you’ve been following along on my Instagram recently — mostly my insta stories — you’ll know that I had the distinct pleasure of dog sitting the famous Toast Meets World this past weekend. Her momma was on a trip and arrived home on Monday, so my dog sitting bliss just ended. And if you know anything about me, you know that I like some dogs more than I like some people. So having a dog around all the time was more than excellent. Not surprisingly, I’m going through a bit of Toast withdrawal right now. So let’s talk about clothes, shall we? (But don’t you worry — there will be some freakishly adorable Toast photos coming to my blog soon). So get excited.

And onto the clothes, the way I see it, there are two ways of thinking about this wacky weather we have been living in. You can either go with: this is our last chance to wear our favorite sweaters before spring actually hits us. Or the alternative: if I have to wear a sweater and a jacket one more day in a row I’m going to go mad. And while I’m naturally pretty optimistic, I am going a bit stir crazy with the same sweater/jacket combos.

So, I’ve been trying to switch it up as much as the weather will permit. And this ankle bootie-cropped denim-cashmere sweater-shearling vest combo is the result of the aforementioned effort to switch it up. Plus, I’m absolutely itching to start wearing my embroidered, fringe laden, tassel covered and all around embellished spring wardrobe again. And these booties are perfect way to begin that style reintroduction.

I’m also very into tonal dressing recently — clearly this is a baby blue moment. However, I’ve also really been feeling for pale blush. And I have a feeling lavender might be my next color of the moment. However, if you see me on the streets of NYC today, I’ll be wearing red! Girl power, baby!

Stay tuned over the next few days for the absurdly cute dog photos. Oh — and have a fab Wednesday people. xx
