This look is one of those foolproof wardrobe stables that I find myself gravitating to anytime I’m not quite sure what to wear. Not surprising, I’m sure, that my go to look these days is all black. It just works for me.
Much like this oversized leather jacket — it actually feels a bit cooler and harder (or more rock and roll, if you will) than just any old leather jacket. Which is actually a very important quality in a leather jacket. Because, after all, leather jackets are quite common place (while still being unequivocally cool). I’m sure I’m not the only one out there who sometimes feels that the wearer of leather jackets should don red lipstick, heavy eyeliner and converse sneakers. Although with me, that is hardly ever the case. Since more often than not I try to make it look a bit more unexpected. In this particular look the unexpected-ness comes in the form of fringe ankles and a seriously bad ass crystal necklace. This necklace is actually hand-woven. It is a work of art, adorning my neck.
So if you’re having trouble picking out what to wear tomorrow, go for the rock ‘n’ roll leather jacket. Don’t forget the pants that involve fringe, a crazy cool ornamental neck-piece and your favorite black top. And if you’re really feeling wild throw on some leather slides with interpretive bows on them.
See you out there! xx
