K, So I think fall just decided to do a quick fly by and it’s officially winter. How did that happen!? It’s exciting because it means that we can (finally!) wear sweaters without sweating! It also has me really looking forward to the holidays that are right around the corner. But it’s also a little bit bittersweet because, well, I love the brisk fall weather. Luckily, the temps are meant to warm up a bit this week. But until then, all I want to wear is cashmere.

When it comes to sweaters, unless it is some super fashion statement piece, I always prefer cashmere. It’s just so much more cozy and breathable than other sweater yarns. And this cashmere mock neck by Velvet is the perfect basic. I’ve been living in it. I love it paired back to this denim skirt for a more transitional way to wear it. I’ve also been throwing it on under my denim overalls for the perfect weekend look.

Ok but back to the holidays that are rapidly approaching!

This weekend my mom asked me what I wanted to make for Thanksgiving. My family takes holiday cooking and baking VERY seriously. This year, I am going to bake an apple crisp (which, is one of my all time favorite desserts), pumpkin bread, and potato rolls. All three recipes that I use are actually recipes that my brother in law has perfected. Normally, he makes the potato rolls, but since my brothers will be in San Francisco this year for Thanksgiving – I am on potato roll duty until Christmas Eve (where I plan to pass the rolling pin back to him!). The reason I am rambling about recipes is because I wanted to see which, if any, you guys would be interested in a post about! Head on over to my Instagram to let me know which you’d like for me to include in a recipe post!

Happy almost holiday season kids! xx
