This is a question I get over and over again: how do you find a dress for a summer wedding without breaking the bank? And better yet, how do you avoid doing so when buying something you’ll likely only wear a few times. So I decided to go ahead and shop around for a great, budget friendly, summer wedding dress option. What I tried to keep in mind while looking for the perfect wedding guest dress was versatility, comfort and price. This dress wins in all three categories.

Versatility: I have (both for the purpose of this blog post and because I would actually wear a dress like this to work) worn this exact get up to work.

I have also worn in to a cocktail party at a country club. Annnnd if I had bought it prior to any of the summer weddings I attended this year, I would have worn it there as well! Forget the whole “I’m only going to wear it once” worry with this bad boy.

Comfort: ok so comfort with dresses is a big one for me.

Weddings can be L-O-N-G, meaning you’ll likely be wearing the dress for many consecutive hours. Comfort is key! That said, I was looking for a somewhat universally flattering cut that would fit (and flatter!) most body types. This flowy off the shoulder dress fits the bill. I added a vintage chain waist belt for flair and to make the dress a bit more flattering for me.

Price: this one is simple in theory yet hard to come by.

I wanted to find a great dress at under $100 so if for whatever reason you do only end up wearing it a few times you don’t have to sweat it! This dress is – drumroll please – under $80! Zara does it again!

Add a statement earring a stacked heel and you’re ready to dance your appropriately and adorably clad bottom into those last summer weddings.
