Happy holiday weekend people! The icy rain and chilly temperatures that have come to the East Coast this long weekend have had me going through a rotation of cozy sweaters. Living through NYC winters necessitates that my uniform consists of chunky sweaters and skinny jeans for a good 4-5 months out of the year.
In addition to my weekend workout classes and outings with friends, a large part of my weekend consisted of hot chocolate, movies and binge watching The Newsroom. Before I get into the entertainment, I need to explain that the hot chocolate was not just any hot chocolate. I had my first experience with City Bakery hot chocolate and their homemade marshmallows. If you are a chocolate fan and haven’t yet tried this masterpiece of a sweet drink please do yourself the favor of putting it at the top of your to do list. I have been dying to watch The Newsroom for awhile now, mainly because I was a huge fan of The West Wing and both shows were written by Aaron Sorkin. The Newsroom absolutely did not disappoint – I only wish that there were more seasons coming. As for movies – I saw American Sniper which is nominated for several Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Actor for Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend seeing the story of this American hero.
