It is almost October and it was a glorious 80 degrees this weekend. What gives? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love a good September beach day as much as anyone. But I have been forced to put a hold on my beloved fall chunky sweaters and leather-weather certainly isn’t here quite yet. But it is coming! So with this weekend’s weather, I dug out my favorite destroyed cut offs and paired them with my suede booties and new go-to Helmut Lang top. I love this top for not only the clean simplicity but also for the way it drapes – so effortlessly cool.
This tan Balenciaga is an oldie but goodie for me. I used to wear it to death – and now when I use it I have so many memories with it (most fondly thinking of traveling with it through Italy – walking by Piazza Navona taking in everything, gelato in hand). And for the jewelry – because I seriously can’t get enough of pearls these days – I went with delicate gold layers mixed with pearl details. I love pearls, because they’re a kinda magical combination of perfection and nature: exact spheres, pure color, but natural softness, and a feeling that can’t help but evoke the waves of the ocean. That’s my reason — what’s yours?
Hope that everyone has a great start to October this week!
