I’m sure you are all sick and tired of thinking about, talking about, and being out in this freezing cold weather – but come ON. It is seriously cold out and I find it impossible not to acknowledge the chill. Especially since it is very hard not to feel like (and look like) a snowman when out and about in this weather. There is really no option but to embrace it, which I have done. As is evident in this look where I have piled on the soft sweater layers.
The oversized cashmere scarf is a piece that I picked up while traveling for work in Asia a few years ago. This scarf specifically – which was made by a friend of my co-worker at the time – always makes me look back on and appreciate that part of my life. Soon after I graduated from college I traveled to Asia for work 6 times in 6 months – I was constantly coming and going, packing and unpacking, re-recovering from jet lag (you get the idea). I am so thankful to have seen and learned so much in such a short amount of time. I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience (except perhaps the length of the flight – which brings me back to the present and to the topic of this oversized scarf). An oversized cashmere wrap or scarf is one item that I splurged on for myself and I did not for a second regret it. In addition to being my best friend on an airplane, this type of scarf is relevant across all seasons. Practical in the freezing cold winter that we are experiencing now and on a chilly summer night in late August, it is a go-to. With that, a few of my personal favorite cashmere wraps can be found here, here and here – take a look!
