Whelp this weekend was a glorious Saturday with a side of torrential downpour on Sunday. Talk about Sunday scaries inducing weather: gross.  So instead of focusing on the weekend rain let’s instead talk shoes – specifically the best sandals ever.

Ok so here it is- the facts about my go-to-can’t-live-without-’em summer sandals. If you think these look familiar and that you’ve seen me rocking them before – you’re correct (You can find them in a previous post here). I wore a white basket weave version to death last summer. After a full summer of non-stop wear (beaches, rain storms, city streets, muddy fields – you name it, they saw it) saying that they now look well loved would be an understatement. But I can’t part with them, I’m not sure if it’s a funny nostalgic thing since last summer was a pretty special happy time or if it’s the shoes themselves. Either way, they aren’t going anywhere. BUT I do now have two new pairs to take me all over kingdom come this summer. And I can’t wait to see what memories they’ve witnessed come September. The best part about these kicks is their no-nonsense functionality. Riudavets sandals come from a small island in the Spanish Mediterranean where the land requires a durable but cool sandal. With the tire sole, suede lining and leather upper they are the perfect intersection of simplicity and comfort. Which is not surprisingly what makes the shoes so appealing. Go get a pair, trust me, you will not regret it — and hey, maybe you’ll make some pretty perfect memories in yours too.

LMK if you need more convincing on these shoes – they are it, you guys.
