This is it people! Summer 2014 is almost over. Only one more summer weekend to look forward to – thankfully it’s a long one. I for one am not quite ready to say goodbye to beach weekends. Luckily, fall in NYC makes summer coming to an end a bit easier to bear. Because yes, we have tailgates, apple picking, and oversized sweaters to look forward to.
I am traveling in California this week and the temperature swings (50s – 70s in San Francisco to 80s in Napa) are a nice precursor for the layers required by early fall on the East Coast. These 80 degree bluebird days and 50 degree crisp cool nights are something that I could get used to.
But for now, I’m trying to get a few more moments in my favorite crop tops, nautical stripes, and cut offs before we officially say bring on the plaid! These stripes are some of my favorites. As I’ve touched on already, I’m a big fan of a matching moment and this Lovers + Friends matching set is a home run. I’ve piled on the jewelry – everything from gold cuffs with pearls to the woven necklace and beaded bangles – to add a bohemian flair to the otherwise nautical summery look. I love that about accessories: they are able to take a look to a completely different place.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
