My wardrobe has been having a hot and heavy romance with frayed denim for the past few years. Not only does frayed denim provide the possibility for us look like we are back in the 90s, but it does so in the best way possible. And these *flared* frayed denim pants just do it for me. The light wash, button details, super high waist and pocket placement are a win win win win. Since we all know how I feel about flares, today I’ll leave it at this: they rule.
The frayed hem has invigorated denim for me – it makes my skinny jeans not so basic and makes my flares even more enchanting (if that’s even possible, am I right?). Frayed denim adds the extra oomph to the otherwise, cool but relatively normal fabric that covers your nether region. The fray gives denim the attitude – or dare I say, swagger that it so deserves. So go ahead and get some, or DIY it if you’re feeling crafty (I’ve done it, trust me, you won’t regret it). And you can’t feel impractical about investing in another piece of denim, because, realistically you’ll wear it like, everyday. That’s the thing about denim that makes it so damn appealing for me, its staying power. Jeans are consistent, they are sexy, and they aren’t going anywhere.
You guys should probably invest in a pair of these bad boys. Oh, and, TGIF!
