Happy Tuesday from me and my new favorite cropped flares by The Great! So what if we’ve already discussed the crop flare – who’s ready for round two?

Crop flares certainly are – uh – cropping into the fashion scene more than ever these days and I am a huge fan. Dare I say they are out shining the beloved culotte. I still plan on rocking my culottes this season but my eyes have strayed and stayed on this undeniable it pant. They were traipsing the resort runways of Ellerly and Alexander Wang and they are here to stay (for now at least). Although it is winter and we can’t show too much skin without looking and feeling ridiculous – we can go so far as to show our ankles a little freedom with the cropped flare. And while I was at it — I decided to really go wild and opt for a high waisted version back to a (you guessed it) cropped top (or better yet a cropped sweater!).

Not surprisingly, like many things in fashion, this trend isn’t something new. It is a resurgence or resurrection of the pants of the past. A modern take on the peddle pushers or Capri pants (ew). This iteration, of course, is simple yet plenty funky fresh.

I have a feeling this trend will be cropping up (lolz) in this season’s runway shows and into our online shopping carts and denim drawers. I for one, can’t wait.
